Originally opening both Huntington Academy and Faces Etc. in Huntington Beach, California in 1994 , we are now located in 2 locations. Our main office in Bend, Oregon and a satellite office in Tustin California. Karen Holvey-Nolff is the Founder and the Director of Education, and Jeff Becker is the Owner of both Huntington Academy and Faces, Etc.
At Huntington Academy, you’ll receive complete Permanent Makeup and/or Microblading training from a world renowned educator and permanent makeup artist and staff. Our 7 Day classes include hands-on procedures with a minimum of 6 live models, kits for 10 procedures, 10 popular pigments, a machine and many other items to guide you to success quickly. Huntington Academy of Permanent Cosmetics is one of the most respected permanent makeup schools in the industry, offering Beginning Permanent Makeup Classes, as well as Continuing and Advanced education such as Microblading, Pigment Removal and Advanced Techniques. Huntington Academy also offers Oregon License Approved Continued Education Courses. Students get continued support…we are here to answer your questions and help you through some of your tougher moments as an artist. We’ve seen students from all over the US, Canada, Europe and other countries. Karen and Jeff have put together a very impressive, comprehensive, practical and hands-on training program which is updated constantly.  Our trainers at Huntington Academy are highly certified and have several decades of experience.
At Faces Etc., our Instructors are also certified permanent cosmetic technicians who each have their own client base. Jeff Becker CPCT
Owner, Technician, Instructor

Jeff began his career in Permanent Cosmetics in 2000 and has seen thousands of clients since. As a Technician at Faces Etc. and an Instructor at Huntington Academy, his professionalism, attention to fine details, knowledge of color theory and mastery of hair simulation and growth patterns make his eyebrow designs a work of art. He also specializes in natural looking, whether lash enhancing or thicker wedged, eyeliner and blended lip liner or full color lips.

Jeff is a Certified Permanent Cosmetic Technician. His certifications are in both Primary and Advanced techniques, Areola Re-pigmentation, Microblading, Pigment Removal and Color Correction. He is an Instructor for the majority of our classes and he has a passion for teaching and for his students…he wants them to feel confident when they graduate from our facility. Jeff is the owner of both Huntington Academy of Permanent Cosmetics and Faces Etc. in Bend, Oregon and Tustin, California. He holds his Oregon State License with the Board of Electrologists and Body Art Practitioners. He is based out of Bend, Oregon but schedules classes and client procedures in both his Oregon and California locations. He is the Instructor for our Oregon License Approved Continued Education courses.

Karen Holvey-Nolff CPCP
Technician, Instructor, SPCP Lifetime Member, Director of Education

Karen has a lifetime of experience in the beauty industry as a licensed cosmetologist and make up artist where she excelled at doing platform work and teaching others the newest in coloring and design. Being a natural born instructor, she moved to permanent cosmetics in 1989 and began working closely with many medical professionals and cosmetic surgeons in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas. She joined the cosmetic dermatology practice at the Fulton Skin Institute and worked closely with Dr. James Fulton for over 8 years. At the Institute, she began teaching other medical staff, estheticians and makeup artists the art of permanent cosmetics. In 1994 Karen founded the Huntington Academy of Permanent Cosmetics and Faces Etc. in Huntington Beach, CA. Karen is the Director of Education and has constantly updated what many regard to be one of the best training programs available. We pride ourselves in keeping current and delivering the most up to date information in our industry.

Karen brings to her students the expertise and first hand account of the advances made throughout the permanent makeup industry since the late eighties. She is a Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional as well as an SPCP Trainer Member through the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP). She has to her credit some of the most respected and talented instructors in the field of Permanent Cosmetics, each practicing for a minimum of 15 years and who carry certification and are state licensed. Karen has lectured at numerous professional trade show conferences, cosmetic and laser seminars. She has written articles for medical clinic newsletters as well as Skin Inc. and Cosmetech magazines. She has offered work shops at esthetic conferences and at the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals conferences. Karen has developed several educational DVD’s and has written numerous manuals and color theory workbooks for other permanent make-up training centers. Karen specializes in para-medical procedures with a special emphasis in breast re-pigmentation. Working with some of the finest plastic surgeons in Orange County, she redesigns, repositions and re-pigments the areola and nipple complex on the breast tissue following a mastectomy to look very natural. She is also an insurance provider for a medical group in Newport Beach, CA and works with other insurance groups to offer these services to breast cancer survivors. She is the only permanent cosmetic practitioner in California that is a direct insurance provider for these services. Karen is the Instructor for all of our Areola Re-pigmentation classes. She is based in Palm Desert, California.

Dale Case CPCT
Instructor, Technician, Electrologist, Cosmetologist

Dale has spent most of her life in the Beauty Industry and is a State of California Licensed Cosmetologist and Electrologist. She started her Permanent Makeup career in 1987 and is one of the best Permanent Makeup Instructors on the planet, and our students adore her. Her lecturing and organizational skills are second to none. She also has over 12 years of experience under the direction of a dermatologist and has received her Para-Medical Certificate. Dale has also been the President and Chairwoman of over six city and national organizations. She is a Certified Permanent Cosmetic Technician and has been an Instructor with Huntington Academy since 1999 and is a great asset to our school and our students. Dale is an Instructor for our Primary, iBrow and Pigment Removal classes. She is based in Seal Beach, California.

Caitlin Courson CPCT
Instructor, Technician, SPCP Member

Caitlin Courson, owner of Captured Classics Permanent MakeUp in Downtown San Diego, first came to us in 2016. Her passion for the Health & Beauty Industry started in 2007 with cosmetology, which evolved into Fashion Merchandising by 2011, and then as a Spa Service consultant in 2015. She kept hearing more and more requests for Permanent MakeUp services and couldn’t resist learning about the Industry.

After completing her Primary PMU training she jumped into every Advanced Technique course Huntington Academy provided: Areola Repigmentation, Advanced Eyeliner & Lips, Microblading, Pigment Removal and Color Correction. Not only is Caitlin an outstanding PMU practitioner, but she also has an incredible passion for teaching and helping other achieve their goal and dreams. She continues her education as an active SPCP member & is an avid educator. Caitlin is an Instructor for our Microblading, iBrow and Primary classes and is based in San Diego, California. You’ll never find her without a smile plastered across her face.

Wendy Becker
Co-Owner, Office Manager, Accounting, Marketing, Retail

Wendy has spent the last 30 years working with numbers….so accounting is her super specialty. She brings office management, retail and marketing experience as well. She handles our accounting, purchasing, retail, our website and other marketing, as well as class scheduling, student enrollment, and classroom prep for our training center…..she keeps Huntington Academy and Faces Etc. running smoothly. She is the wife of Jeff Becker and joined our team in 2008.
